At Dave’s Body Shop, our Headlight Restoration process starts by using a random orbital power sander with an ultrafine sandpaper. This not only removes the oxidation, but it also diminishes pitting and scraping caused from rock chips. This produces a far superior result to the “wipe-on” and “scuff and spray” products you may have seen advertised.
The next step is polishing. This is very similar to the process used to polish a gem or fine stone. The machine polish restores the headlight to its original luster.
